This half-dovetail notch reflects the joinery used by early American pioneers who constructed homes from square timbers. It remains one of the oldest and sturdiest of corner joinery styles. Hand hewning is offered as an option.

Logs are cut flush at the corner intersection and capped with trim lumber for a conventional wood siding appearance. Crafted mortise and tenon joints reinforce the intersection of this popular style.
