For a long time I had a dream of living in a log home.
After Julie and I were married we started researching log homes and Julie quickly caught the log home fever. We chose a floor plan from Appalachian Log Structures. We felt the warranty, the log pressure treatment, and the thru bolt system set their package apart from all the other companies.
With the help from family and friends we built our home, the Greenbrier, and moved into it in 1997. After settling into our beautiful new home, we spent the next 10 years raising our family and enjoying our log home.
In 2006 the opportunity arose for us to become Independent Representatives in our area for ALSI. Through our experience in researching log homes, building our own home and ten years of living in it, we are able to offer help to others in the process of owning their own log home.
