After our log home materials were delivered, Appalachian Log Structures also sent a technical advisor to help us with the building of the home the Appalachian way. It took us a year of our life to complete our home. Every waking hour was dedicated to finishing our home so many other parts of our life took a back seat for a while. Sometimes we reflect on those crazy months of building and question if it was all worth it. The best testimony we can give is the fact that we are now authorized representatives for Appalachian Log Structures and enjoy sharing and showing our home with other couples considering a log home. Because we felt secure and valued as customers with the company through the whole process, we determined that this is how we want to make our customers feel when they come to us looking to build their log home.
Our home has stood the test of time for 12 years and is still an amazing structure to see. It has been through numerous family holidays, youth group dinners and backyard bonfires, birthday parties, 4 years of a home based day care, children leaving home, children coming back home, and monthly open house log home tours for 10 years. We love to share with friends and family the home that God has so graciously given us, we feel very blessed. An analogy of a mother in labor and the pains of childbirth come to mind. After the baby is born all the pain and labor is forgotten, with the realization that the end result has been worth it all. |
