After taking all their new-found knowledge into consideration, the Galvins decided to purchase their custom design home package from Appalachian Log Structures, Inc. Joe, a commercial construction project manager, was truly impressed by the well-engineered ALSI system. Both decided that this product was one they could represent without reservation and they became authorized dealers in 2001.

After several years of property hunting and house planning, the Galvins began construction of their home in September 2000 and moved in the following Spring. It wasn’t exactly the floor plan they had envisioned in the early days. The addition of three daughters along the way; Erienne, Aislinn and Maille (all nice Irish names) necessitated some changes to the plan and the addition of many more square feet of BATHROOM space!
