It is easy to see why the Nantahala log cabin is one of our best second home floor plans. The plan is offers a treasure of possibilities and would nestle snugly in a shady grove of hemlocks or overlooking a crystal clear spring fed lake sparkling from the summer sun. This log home is smartly organized and designed to fit onto a smaller lot. The expanse of glass doors across the front and the optional gable glass bring the outdoors in, and allow full advantage of the views across a covered porch. The main floor bedroom, bath compliment the open living, dining, and kitchen area. A shed dormer is designed on one side of the second floor area that allows full headroom in the loft and bath.  The bedroom and closet offer a great place for an occasional weekend guest. The hours will drift slowly by as the view from the wrap porch constantly change as the day progresses.
